In this article, the World Economic Forum has set out to map the path to maximum job creation for future individuals. A key finding from the research was that the burden of creating millions of new jobs is expected to fall disproportionally on small businesses. Furthermore, they also found that the green transition, and localisation of supply chains is expected to positively impact job creation.
Why the education sector needs to do the homework on cybersecurity as attacks soar
During 2024 reports of ransomware and cyber intrusion have been on the up, in both K12, and Higher Ed settings. With limited budgets, and perceived as easy targets, criminals are exploiting the vulnerabilities of educational institutions. Linguistic fingerprinting is based on the idea that we each have a unique way of communicating that can be patterned and tracked. Based on a known document that we have from an individual, it can be used to ‘pattern a fingerprint’. Milan-based Futura, an AI based tool for students to personalise and track learning, has announced a €14 million Series A round, led by Eurazeo with participation from United Ventures and Axon Partners Group.
New York and Prague-based Birdwingo, a financial education app for teenagers, has raised €1.2m from Bienville Capital and others.
German Deltia.AI, has raised a $4.8m Seed round led by Cavalry Ventures, with participation from Merantix for its AI-based process analytics platform, which increases productivity and quality in manual shop floor processes.
Roclub, a Berlin-based company which is seeking to overcome the shortage of medical technical workers has raised a 4m Seed round from Speedinvest and FJ Labs, alongside Better Ventures and angels.
Replicate Labs have raised £1,000,000, led by Emerge, with participation from Revenue Syndicate for their sales enablement tool.
